Hi, I am Bharat!

 

I am an experienced researcher with a demonstrated history of working in DC ion source design and its relevant beam diagnostics like Faraday cups, Langmuir probes, emissive probes, thrust pendulums, etc. Presently, I am working at the University of Liverpool /Cockcroft Institute / CERN contributing to the AEgIS project on beam dynamics/ particle trap simulations and development of beam diagnostics.

Beam dynamics simulation studies in AEgIS experiment.

  • Scrutinized TLD applications for new and present workers in the plant.

  • Carried out bioassay sample compliance for all the workers in EMCCR (En-Masse Coolant Channel Replacement) project.

  • Designed a cylindrical tube to analyze the plasma created by the electron beam in atmospheric air at different gas pressures at MIPT.

  • Carried out simulation in DOZE for temperature rise caused due to electron beam at various gas pressures in a quartz tube.

  • Validated of the simulation results of temperature rise with suitable experiments

June 2016 - July 2017

National Fusion Program Intern,
Institute for Plasma Research

  • Designed and developed a 10kW Faraday Cup (FC) for a 14MeV neutron generator used in neutronics experiments at IPR.

  • Optimized the suppressor electrode design using LORENTZ9.1 and SIMION8.0 to simulate the trajectory of secondary electron

  • Calculated the optimum flow rate of water in the cooling system using ANSYS (CFX-FLUENT).

  • Calibrated and validated the designed faraday cup with suitable experiments.

In my role as a dedicated researcher specializing in particle accelerators, ion source design, plasma physics, beam diagnostics, and beam dynamics simulations, I offer a comprehensive suite of services. Leveraging my profound expertise and proficiency in advanced tools like MADX, CST Studio, WARPX, and SIMION, I provide consultation services for refining ion source and particle trap designs, optimizing physics experiments,  enhancing beam diagnostics methodologies and simulation consultation, my goal is to offer valuable insights and guidance.

Beyond consultation, I actively contribute to educational outreach. I am well-equipped to conduct seminars for schools, deliver expert lectures, and facilitate outreach talks on a range of captivating topics, including ion sources, electric propulsion, particle accelerators, and more. This commitment reflects my dedication to inspiring and educating the next generation of scientists and enthusiasts, fostering a deeper understanding of these fascinating fields.
